Mike Johnson, PE

Mike has extensive knowledge of electrical systems. He has 20+ years of experience and 5 of those were with Buist Electric where his work experience was enhanced by working side by side on the job with the electrical contractor. Mike has worked on a variety of projects over the years and listens to the client while creating energy conscious designs. He enjoys lighting design as well as challenging electrical designs.

Mike is a 2001 graduate of Lake Superior State University with a B.S.E.E. Mike began his career at Design Plus working with Lynn & Amy working on a variety of projects from higher education to manufacturing. In 2010, he moved to Buist Electric. Here in addition to designing the electrical systems, Mike also was responsible for conducting arc flash studies. In 2015 he moved to Paradigm Design where he started and managing the MEP department while serving as a Senior Electrical Engineer. In 2020, Mike joined WPF Engineering as a principal expanding our product services for power analysis as well as Revit documentation.

Mike is married and has three children that keep him busy with their activities. In Mike's free time, he enjoys riding mountain bikes on the local trails, playing hockey and woodworking. Mike actively supports the Autism Support of Kent County organization. This organization works to provide services that make it possible for individuals with autism to lead healthier and more productive lives.
