Lynn Surdock, PE

Lynn puts her expertise on energy design into every project -- staying within construction budgets. She has worked on a variety of LEED projects certified at different levels. Her lighting design talents allows her to provide lighting solutions meeting the architects and owners needs while adhering to today’s stringent energy codes. With 25+ years experience, Lynn is able to coordinate all aspects of your electrical design.

Lynn is a 1992 graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S.E.E. Lynn began her career working for the Naval Surface Warfare Center and then NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center working on a variety of remodel projects for labs, computer rooms, offices, and spaces requiring secret security clearance. In 1997 Lynn relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan. She started with FTC&H and then moved to Integrated Architecture to head up the new electrical engineering group. In 2000 Lynn was hired by Design Plus and continued working there until 2006 when WPF Engineering was founded.

Lynn is a founding member and Secretary of Oasis Community of West Michigan. The organization is a non-profit organization that empowers individuals with physical, developmental, and/or intellectual disabilities to create sustainable housing alternatives, social connections and live full lives. Lynn is a founding member and active member of the Society of Women Engineers of West Michigan. In her spare time she enjoys vacationing and reading historical fiction, history history books and mysteries. She has three grown daughters that keep her busy and loving husband that she likes to vacation with. She is a life member of Girl Scouts and active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society.
